Bingo! I’ve found out why I wasn’t making any online sales!
That’s right, I have spent a lot of time creating perfect sales funnels that encourage visitors to opt-in and buy my products. Unfortunately my sales recently dropped through the floor and I was only just making a fraction of what I expected. I was asking around and it seems to be that this is actually a pretty common issue and that the majority of people have no clue what they’re doing wrong.
The real truth? It’s not them that is the problem!!
Actually there is a much MORE shocking thing that is happening. A large percentage of home computers now have some sort of spyware installed on them and more recently there are malware programs that change affiliate links on the host’s home computer from your ID to the spyware creator’s. This means that all the hard work that you have done is being PINCHED right at the point of sale!
If you’re making less referrals that you expect to – or more than you normally make – it is very possible that this is your problem. With your current links there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop this problem either. How do we solve this?

In Normal circumstances website owners run off to a URL shortening service or something and get a different URL so it can’t be edited, but I would NOT recommend that you do that. More than likely you’ll pick one of the dozens of services that break affiliate cookies and you still won’t be credited for the sale. Recently though a few link cloaking services directed soley at affiliate marketers – these are the ones that you want.
The best ones of these will be hosted on your own website and allow you to change the links, etc. My recommendation is not to do this with your own redirect script as you could break the affiliate cookies.
While searching for a program to fix my problem I came across a report about link cloaking.
